Hi all, in the last year I have been practicing the art of Feng Shui. I have read numerous books and logged onto loads of websites. In learning about this ancient practice, I have realized the importance of good energy flow and how it effects us when the flow is not good. I would be interested in any ideas you have using crystals and cures for difficult spots in a home in the practice of Feng Shui.

I have been collecting gemstones and crystals for a couple of years now. I don't "do" much with my stones except to hold them in my hand and enjoy them. At times, I feel the vibrations of certain stones and crystals. Sometimes, I cleanse and program a crystal or a stone.

I love receiving a package of new crystals/stones in the mail! There's something special about looking at them and holding them. I have shopped in stores where I've been able to select my own, but still, I enjoy the surprise of having them chosen for me.

Baily-
I too have been reading about Feng Shui and have done some simple things to enhance the chi flow in my home. Two of my boys have rooms with an angled doorway. Above their doors I have placed a bamboo flute and a tiny mirror in the corner. I have also placed a small quartz crystal on each side of the door itself. This is suppose to help offset the angle. I found their are simple things that can correct correct many problem areas. I have a decent crystal collect (98% which came from this website)and coordinating their color and meaning with the bagu color wheel is wonderful. This way they serve two purposes. The one book I refer to the most and was recommended by a woman who does consulting is The Western Guide to Feng Shui Room by Room by Terah Hathryn Collins. Enjoy!

Hi! I just thought I'd share my use of crystals for Feng Shui. My son kept getting all kinds of things (colds, infections, etc...) and I decided enough was enough. I made my husband move his work area (which used to be in the children's area of our house) because he left sawdust everywhere, plus used lots of heating elements and red tools that were not good for that area), and to add the extra touch, I painted a sacred geometry flower of life grid on a large square piece of wood, and glued mostly yellow, green, white, and brown crystals on all the meeting points of the grid...then put that in his area. I also used some gold colored string to do a few 'complicated' chinese knots to hang 3 feng shui coins with. It took days to learn to do the knots right! I also put rose quartz crystals in the relationships area, amethysts in the prosperity area, and more knotted designs that end in a basket with a green crystal in it in the family area. They seemed to improve our situation a lot.

I like "Feng Shui-The Book of Cures" by Nacilee Wydra. It's an older book, (1996) but it's simple and clear cut with solutions for home and work spaces.
