The name garnet actually derives from the Greek word for pomegranate as it resembles the seeds of the fruit. Tumbled Garnet is often so dark that it often shows no color, but the dense weight of the stone can help you to identify it. Garnet is a powerful healing stone which clears negative chakra energy and allows for a controlled rise in the kundalini energy. It is a stimulating stone promoting energy, stamina and sensuality.
